STATION ROSE:
Elisa Rose (Video) und Gary Danner (Sound) sind die Digital-Art-Pioniere STATION ROSE. In ihren Performances und Installationen spielen STR mit der Überforderung und Irritation durch die von ihnen ausgestellte Informationsflut. Es ist als würde man sich inmitten eines audiovisuellen Datentransfers befinden, deren Knotenpunkte live zu sehen und zu hören sind. Audio und Sound sind bei STR per Definition organisch ineinander verwoben. Sie konstruieren Räume zweiter Ordnung, indem sie virtualisierte Klangbilder von Gesellschaft mittels Re-Materialisierung organisch erfahrbar machen. Die Konstellation Frau – Mann als Inszenierung und geschlechtlicher Künstlerkörper mit ausgeprägten Glamour-Faktor verdeutlicht, dass STR nicht nur eine Medienkunst- sondern auch dezidiert ein Pop-Band sind. Im November 2018 erscheint eine augmentierte LP-Box auf monkey.

THE HAPPY SUN aka Gerhard Potuznik:
Here we are now - THE HAPPY SUN, Viennas new indie-sensation, performing their first two releases on Noise Appeal Records LIVE!

In 2018 „The Happy Sun“ was born and Gerhard returned to his roots. Music he once recorded on with two cassette decks, cheap electric guitars and even cheaper drum computers – a wild mix of The Cure, Wire, Hüsker Du, Joy Divison/New Order and similar bands. A few of these recordings were re-recorded for THE HAPPY SUN, but the majority of the part is made up of completely new songs. Co-producer Bernd Heinrauch describes the music as „psychedelic-shoegaze-seventies-rock“, which is anything but far from the truth.

Lets celebrate our new double-A-side-single „Stars without Fame“ and the Gun-Club-Cover-version „The House On Highland Avenue“ at Viennas Cafe Korb.

MIA ZABELKA / GAVINO CANU:
Mia Zabelka - “My solo work is an ongoing process of de- and reconstruction of sonic possibilities, expanding the range of my instrument using live electronic devices and preparing it through the insertion of alien objects between or on the strings. I am continuously exploring sound as a physical phenomenon, always pushing back the boundaries in experimental performances and compositions that question established notions, improving the available techniques and given structures. The violin, my voice and body are transformed in the process into sound bodies which have been described as organic and primal, screaming, lyrical, composed and explosive.”

Gavino Canu - “My research aims to show the discrepancy between the industrialized and human world through the complex tangle between photography, music and motion picture, giving a third point of view on the topic. My video presents those environments that more than others, have been drastically changed by unexpected natural disasters or by us careless people on Earth. It is the story of human beings, who turned from country life to industrialization and then on to our modern globalized, cybernetic world. It is the path through human life, from birth, through living, till death. It’s what it was, what it is and what will be.”
